Stourbridge Common

15-16 Mercers Row, Cambridge CB5 8HY, UK – 01223 457000

The site of the world-famous Stourbridge Fair which first start in 1211. At its peak it was the largest fair in Europe and was held for the final time in 1933. Now it's criss-crossed by paths and cycle tracks and about to have a new pedestrian bridge built over the river Cam to serve the new railway station at North Chesterton/Science Park. Another of Cambridge's green spaces regularly grazed by cows, often one with alarmingly large. curved horns.

Lovely place to walk and take in the quieter side of Cambridge

Histon Road Recreation Ground

Cambridge CB4 3QE, UK – 01223 457000

My kids love this park. I like that there's a fence to keep dogs away.

A really nice park. Went there mainly to play in the playground with my 1 year old, and it was certainly fun! The playground is very well maintained, and has lots of variety (awesome climbing frame, an okay rope-swing, nice grass amphitheatre, baby swings, spinning things, etc) so should be nice for children of all ages. Certainly glad we stumbled across this park.
