Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital

30 New Rd, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9EL, UK – 01223 266900

Today my partner had a hip operation at spire, I would return if required. The staff were polite and helpful, the service was lovely too. The hostess carol was honestly lovely and so helpful. They provided for me also for very reasonable cost. The room was clean and spacious with an attached bathroom that was clean and tidy. The beds are comfy (as far as hospital beds go) and quite nicely actually featured a real duvet (nicer than that weird blanket thing you get in normal hospital). I would recommend.

Had a knee replacement 6 weeks ago. Was only in for 3 days. The staff were lovely so friendly and careing. And the menu and food was lovely to with great service. A really nice place to have your treatment.

Cambridge City Physiotherapy Clinic

Chesterton Sports Centre, Gilbert Road, Cambridge CB4 3NY, UK – 01223 368886

I can highly recommend Karen White. She has helped me recover from ITBS and has given me good advice on how to prevent the injury recurring. Hopefully I won't need to see her again for a while but if I do need to see a physio again I would go back to her again.

Travel Clinics

Nuffield Road Medical Centre

10 Pippin Dr, Cambridge CB4 1GL, UK – 01223 423424

Good medical centre, the reception staff can be helpful at times, but usually very busy, if you already have an appointment then use the LED screens to get you booked in, their time is precious. Best thing has to be that it is right next door to a pharmacy. Again this can get busy during certain periods of the day. But they offer a good service which is linked to any local Dr's a repeat prescription service which obviously saves you time.

I am astonished to read some of the poor reviews. I have used this practice since it opened and have always been very happy. Yes, sometimes it can take longer to get an appointment that I would like. Yes too, they can sometimes run very late. However I have frequently been with the doctor for far longer than my 10 min slot so it works both ways. My feeling is that they do their best and that any faults lie with the NHS system.

If you think it's over-priced, tell them why you're not buying. Some people are a bit dense, unless you (figuratively) hit them on the head with it. I only donate but they take most items, including electrical, which is useful. Not audio or VHS tapes though. What they can't sell in the shop, they sell online or dispose of.

A fabulous charity shop for the serial charity shopper. Excellent on crockery and women's clothes. Well organized and friendly. Often VERY overpriced if there's anything special about the item. But still worth a regular checking out. Bonus - park at Aldi/Iceland, save ££ shopping there, come spend saving here.
