Local Sports Clubs

N C I Sports & Social Club

Holland St, Cambridge CB4 3DL, UK – 01223 563562

Well worth a visit as they have lots of special events. I saw a flamenco show served with pintxos. Good beer and wine selection

A little bit too small. Drinks were quite cheap. I went there for a special event and I had good fun.

Chesterton Sports Centre

Chesterton Community college, Gilbert Rd, Cambridge CB4 3NY, UK – 01223 576110

Too good to be true: There is nice music playing. Lots of cardio machines with TV. A calm yoga area. A water fountain. A small but almost complete weight training area (you wait for the squat rack 99% of the time). A multi-functional cable machine. Overall, very well built gym. Except that they have only a smith machine and a squat rack but not power rack, which is really a let down, and the reason I wouldn't recommend it for strength training purposes.

This sports centre has a nice and descent set up. There are varieties of sports recreational activities. We use this centre for kids swimming, tennis lessons. It has a cafe which serves good food. Kids parties are also arranged at this place at reasonable prices.
