Travelodge Cambridge Orchard Park Hotel

Orchard Park, Chieftain Way, Kings Hedges Rd, Cambridge CB4 2WR, UK – 0871 984 6481

Generally ok. Not enough towels. Room a bit basic. Charging extra for broadband is a bit out of order these days. Breakfast expensive. Staff very helpful.

Easy to access location, very friendly staff, good food and clean rooms.

Hotel Felix

Whitehouse Ln, Huntingdon Rd, Girton, Cambridge CB3 0LX, UK – 01223 277977

Food pretty good, although not amazing for the price. The scenery and setting however, were gorgeous in the beautiful summer weather. Would potentially come back for a special occasion.

We had a lovely lunch, quite affordable too with a set menu the Saturday before father's day. One of our party also felt faint as it was a very warm that day and the staff were very professional with helping her.

Premier Inn Cambridge A14 J32

Ring Fort Rd, Cambridge CB4 2GW, UK – 0871 527 8186

Very decent breakfast. Good coffee. Makes all the difference. Restaurant not bad either. Rooms as good as any other premier Inn (good).

Nice location, large Premier Inn with plenty of free parking. Standard PI rooms, only small TV. Has air conditioning. Best Breakfast of all our recent Premier Inn stays at Thyme in-house restaurant.

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Railway Vue Pub

163 Station Rd, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9NP, UK – 01223 232426

Was passing nearby and in need of lunch, pub looked promising from the road. Staff very welcoming on arrival and decent selection of ales. Was told there would be a slight wait for food but really wasn't very long at all. Had railway vue burger which was nicely done, good chips too. Not quite 5 stars but you could see they were trying hard to deliver good food and services. Good 'authentic' pub feel here.

Offers food and live music with plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly and helpful staff.

The Rose & Crown

2 Glebe Way, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9JB, UK – 01223 232914

Food on sundays really good. Table service. Clean with an old pub feel

Lovely pub, grub, beer and service. Only stopped for lunch and will go back again.

The White Horse

22 High St, Milton, Cambridge CB24 6AJ, UK – 01223 860327

Food is excellent, the staff is friendly and it is a dog friendly pub. Always some nice ale on tap too.

Excellent service , food amazing and good prices. Staff so friendly and helpful anytime of the day. Nothing is ever to much for them. It does get busy at lunch time , however your order is with you within 5/10 minutes . Karen Walsh

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!
