Travelodge Cambridge Orchard Park Hotel

Orchard Park, Chieftain Way, Kings Hedges Rd, Cambridge CB4 2WR, UK – 0871 984 6481

Easy to access location, very friendly staff, good food and clean rooms.

60 pounds a night = better than expected :)

Hotel Felix

Whitehouse Ln, Huntingdon Rd, Girton, Cambridge CB3 0LX, UK – 01223 277977

Lovely terrace to bar. Food was good although slightly small portions. Decent wine too.

Place is beautiful. Parking space available. Resturant service is good. If only they had more options for food. As a practicing Muslim I would have liked to have tried their meat options but couldn't as there was no Halal option for it.

Holiday Inn Cambridge

Lakeview, Bridge Rd, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9PH, UK – 0871 942 9015

Nice room. Iron, hair dryer and trouser press provided. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Rooms serviced daily. Close to main travelling routes. Friendly staff. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Good venue with professional staff, generous refreshments and social space, good conference rooms. Easily accessible from the A14, though less well served by public transport. Could usefully use a little more signage to help get round buy a very pleasant place to spend the day for a work conference.

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Railway Vue Pub

163 Station Rd, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9NP, UK – 01223 232426

Was passing nearby and in need of lunch, pub looked promising from the road. Staff very welcoming on arrival and decent selection of ales. Was told there would be a slight wait for food but really wasn't very long at all. Had railway vue burger which was nicely done, good chips too. Not quite 5 stars but you could see they were trying hard to deliver good food and services. Good 'authentic' pub feel here.

Very warm cosy pub. We were staying in the nearby Holiday Inn and visited the Railway. Enjoyed the meal and venue so much we returned the next day. I was part of two families with children, all well catered for. Sky sports in the pub also!

The Rose & Crown

2 Glebe Way, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9JB, UK – 01223 232914

Food on sundays really good. Table service. Clean with an old pub feel

It's increasingly hard to find a warm atmosphere with great food in and around Cambridge but the Rose and Crown nails it. We first visited just as the pub opened and were so impressed that it's reserved for us as a place to go as a real treat. The food is spot on regardless of dish, decor traditional and staff welcoming. Thanks and we'll be back again soon!

The White Horse Milton

22 High St, Milton, Cambridge CB24 6AJ, UK – 01223 860327

Excellent service , food amazing and good prices. Staff so friendly and helpful anytime of the day. Nothing is ever to much for them. It does get busy at lunch time , however your order is with you within 5/10 minutes . Karen Walsh

Came here based on the positive reviews from here. Honestly amazing food. Try the White Horse Special Burger and there home made BBQ sauce.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Rosa's B & B

53 Roseford Rd, Cambridge CB4 2HA, UK – 01223 512596

Arriving at 1830hrs on a Friday I was warmly welcomed by Rosa, and shown to my room. The single room was spotlessly clean, and included a television and free wifi. As the only guest that evening I had exclusive use of the adjacent bathroom, which had a powerful shower and all the usual shampoo, shower gel etc expected in a first class hotel. Breakfast was delicious, including Rosa's special fruit dish, plus a hot meal and cereal is available if requested. The B&B is just a 2 minute drive from the A14, and sited near Histon Road, a main bus route to the city centre. I have now stayed four times at Rosa's on my annual visits to Cambridge, and can unreservedly recommend it for excellent accommodation, and the skilled and friendly hospitality or Rosa.

Rosa is amazing! The B&B is clean and neat, the food is *fantastic*, and Rosa and Paul are wonderful hosts. I recommend Rosa's B&B wholeheartedly, and I look forward to my next stay there; it'll be like coming home.

Harry's Bed and Breakfast

39 Milton Rd, Cambridge CB4 1XA, UK – 01223 503866

Clean, tidy and good looking room, good bathroom. Negativity that the previous guest smoked in the room, so you still can smell it. Originally breakfast was included but owner said that they not going make it (we've been at new year's eve/day) so it was bit annoying to find a place where to eat in the morning.

Good distance from the colleges, they serve a proper English breakfast, and excellent hospitality.

The Cambridge Guest House and Bed and Breakfast

201A Milton Rd, Cambridge CB4 1XG, UK – 01223 423239

Our second stay at the Cambridge Guest House. Cosy, clean and welcoming it looked especially nice last week end in preparation for Christmas. Enzo and his wife are great hosts, going beyond the 'call' and giving us a lift to our event when our cab failed to arrive!

Comfortable room, breakfast great lots of choice. Had a great weekend, even though on a busy road slept well.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
