Find Recycling Centres

Milton Recycling Centre

Butt Ln, Milton, Cambridge CB24 6DQ, UK – 01223 860674

We have used recycling centres at lots of places and this is the best so far. Very helpful staff and well organised and managed. Thanks.

Having visited the centre many times before, infact twice in the last 2 months, and having come away feeling every bit of the very low staff morale, today was a totally unexpected and pleasantly mind blowing experience! Upon arrival to dispose of a freezer, as my son and I prepared to get the freezer out of the boot, a very helpful gentleman, Chris, offered to assist. I gratefully stepped aside and almost immediately noticed that I had cut my thumb as we loaded it at home ( the blood had started to dry). Not only did Chris help offload and dispose of the freezer but he cheerfully offered me a plaster which he went to get from the office, in spite of it being a very busy time on the site. When such small acts of kindness are found so unexpectedly, they go a very long way: we say Bravo! There is hope for humanity after all!

General waste Landfill plus a public recycling center

If you think it's over-priced, tell them why you're not buying. Some people are a bit dense, unless you (figuratively) hit them on the head with it. I only donate but they take most items, including electrical, which is useful. Not audio or VHS tapes though. What they can't sell in the shop, they sell online or dispose of.

A fabulous charity shop for the serial charity shopper. Excellent on crockery and women's clothes. Well organized and friendly. Often VERY overpriced if there's anything special about the item. But still worth a regular checking out. Bonus - park at Aldi/Iceland, save ££ shopping there, come spend saving here.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.
